To secure a challenging and responsible position as a paint supervisor in which my experience and education will have valuable application.

• Prepare girders for painting by using the SSPC (The Society for Protective Coatings) standards.
• Blast girders to correct surface profile, anchor point.
• Utilize overhead cranes to load/unload pickup and roll girders and all related parts.
• Interpret blueprints to prepare girders for painting per DOT specs.
• Measure, tape and mask steel for paint.
• Set up paint equipment for painting.
• Clean paint equipment when done painting, record millage for coat/coats, record paint and thinner usage and dispose of waste thinner according to EPA guidelines.
• Check batch numbers and match to the correct job/state.
• Paints that were used for painting included zincs, epoxies, urethanes, waterborne and primers.
• Apply paint or coating using correct mills, for specific paint, by using wet mill gauge.
• Paint multi coat and two and three coat system.
• Measure dried paint to make sure it is in the correct range of mills by using electronic mill gauge, if not, recoated to correct mills.
• Rework or repair any damage paint by sanding, feathering or touching up.
• Painting ability includes sufficiency for 12 different state DOTs.
• Paint using rollers and brushes to paint walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Manage a group of 7 people in an automated weld/paint line.
