Objective:
I am looking for a graphic design position and
would love to have the opportunity to work for a
company where I can become more advanced in my
skills and show my talent.
Over the course of my career I have dealt with a
wide variety of corporate and freelance clients
designing company brand identities and marketing
materials such as logos, brochures and ads for
publications. I am confident that this experience,
which has required a wide range of styles, has
enabled me to be creative and innovative with my
artwork and layouts.
I have extensive knowledge of all the required
design programs in Adobe Creative Suite and all
previous versions. I am well versed in Photoshop
CS5 and legacy versions, Illustrator, InDesign,
Dreamweaver and a Quark Xpress among other
programs. I also am proficient in both Mac OS X and
PC Windows 7 operating systems and earlier
versions. I am very familiar with the process of
designing page layouts for all types of markets
from my newspaper and freelance experience. As I
have worked with many printers in the industry, I
am also very knowledgeable in the print production
and have a lot of prepress experience working with
cuts, bleeds and trims and I also understand RGB
and CMYK color outputs. I am skilled at editing or
formatting text and inserting the right graphic into
a layout to convey an interesting message to the
reader leading to new business.
I have always worked in a deadline-driven
atmosphere and I manage my time on projects
efficiently. From my years as a freelancer, I know I
can handle multiple jobs effectively with little or no
supervision. That said, I also thrive in an
atmosphere working alongside other designers in a
team environment where I can share my ideas and
get direction from others. I am adaptable,
enthusiastic and a great addition to any team.
