Nature of Duties: Contract my professional services in recreational therapy to Northern Indiana Providers (NIP). Meet one-on-one with developmentally disabled youth and adult clients to assess their fine motor, gross motor, locomotion, sensory, cognition, communication, and behavioral skills in order to develop and implement long term Therapeutic Recreation treatment plan goals and objectives. Current client disabilities range from mild to severe developmental delays, autism, spine-bifida, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and medically impaired or injured athletes.

Nature of Duties: Responsible for the management, development and coordination of all aspects of the marketing, administration and evaluation of a broad range of high quality health, wellness, fitness, aquatic, sport and recreation programs for a full size, state of the art 44,000 square foot medically based fitness center. Specific areas of accountability include the management of thirty-five specialized, certified and degreed fitness specialist staff, personal trainers, group exercise instructors, and one group fitness coordinator. Additional areas of direct accountability include administering fitness evaluations and exercise prescriptions, member orientations, personal training, aerobics and aquatics programming, wellness clinics, corporate health & wellness screenings, recreational and sports clinics, special events, (i.e., Sunburst Races), member and community wellness incentive programs and the implementation of written proposals and marketing materials. Key accomplishments include implementing wellness testing for 2,200 University of Notre Dame employees in 2007 and securing the wellness testing health fair for 2,800 University of Notre Dame employees and spouses for 2008.
