Objective:

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the nursing care of adult & pediatric patients in BURN ICU. Other units frequently worked in: M/S ICU, Trauma ICU, M/S & Trauma Step-down. Other units with experience in: PICU, PEDS, AICU/ACU, ER.

KEY TRAINER (hospital wide) for sure-step glucometer skills and co-worker education, training and skill verification. UNIT TRAINER for medical device, bedside technology and computer use. As CHARGE RN, I facilitate work flow of unit while coordinating staffing with house supervisor based on patient acuity and individual staff member ability.

My creative teaching talents have been utilized to represent the burn unit and design the education materials and presentations for unit & hospital wide co-worker training. I have been an immense help during our two computer charting system ‘go live’ events. My clinical knowledge and adaptability has been an asset during unit/hospital procedure changes and during times of training new co-workers.
