Objective:
To seek a challenging position in the Intelligence Community, where I can utilize my linguistics experience and cultural analysis. Willing to relocate and will consider both CONUS and OCONUS assignments.


Experience:
Cat II Arabic Linguist SAIC Baghdad, Iraq 4/2004- 8/2010
• Serving as an Arabic linguist, translating and prioritizing documents from various clients in the Iraq Area of Responsibility.
• Exploit, evaluate, and translate captured Arabic documents, producing clear, accurate, and idiomatically correct English products
• Perform initial triage and analysis of original Arabic documents to determine the intelligence value and priority of the material
• Utilize multiple technical DoD systems and databases on a daily basis, including the Deployable Harmony Docex Suite, the Theater Exploitation Database, and National Harmony Database
• Establish Quality Control on all out going DOCEX products to ensure proper quality assurance on finalized translated documents.
• Oversee quality control for 12 linguists for the triage process in collecting media, assigning work duties, and proving corrective recommendations as needed.
• Communicate and cooperate with military and government personnel alike to aid in the identification of client requirements.
• Translate documents, cell phone reports, CD’s, and other various media from Arabic to English; review documents and provides summaries of content to management and military officials as needed.
• Interpret high valued individuals during interviews, meetings, and conferences
