2006 - VICE PRESIDENT FOR PROGRAM PATHWAYS Division
In 2007, Girl Scouts merged with three Texas councils. Developed and implemented an HR strategic plan to facilitate the merge process, focusing on organizational development and business process improvement.
This division is responsible for the membership, program, outreach and volunteers services departments of the Council. Increased girl membership by 11% and adult membership by 12% when nationwide girl membership declined 6%, and adult membership dropped by 5%. Manage 4.2 million dollar budget and over 65+ staff. Ensure both marketing and program strategies engaged and mobilized over 12,000 volunteers.
Collect and utilize data to analyze membership patterns and trends to increase recruitment and retentions efforts by 60%. Ensure guidelines exceeded expectations for Possibilities, an in house magazine, providing activities for girls in partnership with over 150 collaborators focusing on leadership skills. Introduced a change management philosophy to the council, which increased revenue by 100% for Possibilities. Promoted a new Girl Advocacy Program - “Forever Green”, promoting work related to the environment, conservation, and preservation. Assist in securing 200K in grant opportunities. Work collaboratively with departments to improve workflow processes. Created partnership between Human Resources and clients which led to proactive resolution of issues and increased productivity and morale.

2004 – 2006 CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER:
Oversaw the operations of five departments (Human Resources, Information Technology, Property, Adult Learning, and Outdoor Programs) including but not limited to acting as Council’s representative in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer. Directed the executive leadership and strategic management of all human resource processes, procedures and systems, e.g., consulting, employee management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, employee services, staffing, organization development, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, for 125 employees, encompassing four locations from San Angelo, to Bryan /College Station with a staff of two and a budget of 2.2million. Implemented recruitment strategy, process, and training, which resulted in reduced hire time by 25%. Managed employee relations, teamwork development, training, compensation, performance management, recruitment, and communication for multiple location specialized in program ad sales and team production. Coached supervisors and increased one-on-one employee meetings resulting in 20% improvement in employee satisfaction surveys. Provide customized training and coaching in teamwork strategy, customer satisfaction, leadership development, and

performance appraisals, resulting in no litigation. Designed and implemented certification training for production staff of over 100 employees resulting in 20% error rate reduction. Directed training of operations and quality divisions of leading programs for computer applications with 125 employees (annual volume $1.20M). Designed, implemented and taught communication courses resulting in employee promotions. In addition to managing Program Pathways team for 9 months in the absence of a Membership VP. Directed the team to utilize data to assess trends for marketing strategies to recruit and retain both girls and adults, resulting in 5% increase of both girl & adult membership. Support strong recruitment, retention, and organization of quality volunteers including a volunteer system that processes and qualifies the volunteers, resulting in 70% retention rate. Served as project manager for the council building projects of 6.3 million, including 22,000 sq. ft. program center, an 8,500 sq. ft. dining hall, and a 3500 sq. ft. nature center, resulting in project being on time and in budget. Resolves schedule issues or conflicts with client and coordinate approval for necessary action to meet schedule requirements. Secured over $250,000 in-kind donations for projects.
1999 2004 DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Directed the executive leadership and strategic management of all human resource processes, procedures and systems, e.g., consulting, employee management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, employee services, staffing, organization development, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, for 85 employees, encompassing 18 county central Texas area with part-time staff and a budget of 2.2million. Created and implemented the human resources philosophy that focused upon the achievement of business objectives, specifically increased revenues, reduced turnover, efficient staffing, and increased productivity. Created a management training program designed to develop key management and leadership competencies, and to strengthen our management bench that resulted in $10,000 in recruiting expense savings. Redesigned the region’s performance management process resulting in a stronger linkage to performance, enhanced employee/ supervisor communication and reduced involuntary turnover by 10%. Responsible for employee relations, career and employee counseling, performance issues, promotion, terminations, records management, and community and customer relations. Trained key personnel to utilize behavioral interview techniques, resulting in improved candidate selection. Consulted with Sr. Management to compare benefit programs and assisted in making recommendations for new Health and Welfare Benefit programs and 401K plan. Responsible for Council’s seventeen (17) properties ensuring RIO exceeded repair, insurance and other costs.
