Experience:
Senior Electrical Engineer and Engineering/Design Project Manager, with over twenty three (23) years of engineering expertise, over eight (8) years of engineering department management experience, and over seven (7) years of design project management experience.
* Project design and management experience include industrial, substations, medium and high voltage distribution, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, biochemical, hygienic-sterile, chemical plants, refineries, institutional, commercial, residential, governmental, waste treatment plants, hotel/resort facilities, airport, and cogeneration projects. Project sites include Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, the Continental US, and Latin America.

- Engineering Project Manager for small and medium size pharmaceutical-type (API, Solid Dose, Clean Utilities) projects; management of Design phases and Construction Support effort. Involved in project planning, budget preparation and management, scheduling, cost estimating, client support, proposals preparation, and sales effort.
- Disciplines managed included Process, Architectural, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, and Piping/plumbing.
- Projects include 38KV high voltage & 15KV medium voltage aerial/underground services and substations, and cogeneration feasibility studies.
- Provide support to clients during project scope definition effort, Project Capital Appropriation process, Basis of Design preparation, sub-contracts evaluation, and during construction activities.
- Organized, hired and managed the Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls Department staff (during office and operations' start-up).
- Broad experience in the application of computer-aided analysis and design of lighting and power systems, short circuit and coordination; and in AutoCAD software. Extensive use of MSProject for scheduling.

- Managed the Electrical Engineering Department; hired and organized the Instrumentation & Controls Department. Supervised up to 24 engineers & designers.
- Management responsibilities: manpower planning, technical supervision and assistance to engineers and designers, project planning, participation in proposals preparation, direct client relationship, and business development effort. Had active participation in discipline and office standards development and leading on technology application.
- Projects include 38KV high voltage & 15KV medium voltage aerial/underground services and substations, and small Gas Turbine cogeneration systems (up to 7MW).
