Objective:

Play a leadership role in making discoveries of predictive and prognostic biomarker as well as in devising strategies for various cancer diagnostic and drug discovery projects. Employ knowledge and expertise in leading and managing Life Science and Biotechnological Projects focused on Discovery of Biomarker, Drug Discovery and Development of Diagnostic Tools for Cancers and other diseases.


Experience:
-Managed and lead research-oriented biotechnology start-up that is engaged in screening of cancer biomarkers, design and development of diagnostic tools for various human and animal diseases; authored Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants; developed technologies and submitted patents.
-Lead and conducted NIH funded research projects at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) that has proudly secured extramural research support of more than $6,313,476 (total cost) including more than 19 federally funded grants and various other grants.
-Published research outcomes in the top rated scientific journal “Genes & Development”.
-Worked on a collaborative project and obtained a publication in a highly acclaimed journal “Molecular and Cellular Biology”.
-Received honor from the department of pharmacology of UMDNJ as Young Investigator Award.
-Received Junior and Senior Research Fellowship of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, (CSIR) India to work on a CSIR funded project, outcome of this project was published as a "Paper of the week" in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.
