Management Responsibilities:
• Analysis of Plant MIS and strategy formulation on inventory reports, capital equipments purchasing, Finished goods & raw material purchasing data, Business plan, and Project investment planning.
• Investment assessment & ratification for the plant wide yearly investment plan.
• Review daily MPS and optimize MRP for improved lead time management.

Project Management
• Identify core and outsource non-core activities. Gain in terms of space for new products, operating capital, and forward supply chain integration benefits.
• Analyze in-house product cost and compare with the competitive suppliers for outsourcing the product. Overall gain of 2% on negotiated savings.
• Active participation in Technical Discussions with the suppliers, on process planning and product development.
• Work on product transfer projects and evaluate cost impact on over all margins, supplier base to support the operations and raw material procurement.

Purchasing and Supply Chain Integration
• Working with Purchasing and Product team to reduce “cost per piece” and increase ‘overall margin above all the costs’. Focus on KPI.
• Scrutinizing yearly purchasing contracts to reduce variable & fixed cost. Monitor cost reduction projects for yearly cost targets. Monthly monitoring of targeted reductions against actual reductions in cost.
• Recommendations on supplier rationalization process and business allocation percentage in various product sectors. Target is to grade the suppliers as “Business partners”, “Preferred suppliers” and “Alternate sources”.
• Develop 2 tier supplier integration plans to outsource in-house non-value adding operations. Extending the purchasing benefits for BOSCH for raw material procurement to reduce the cost/piece.

Development of On-farm Bio-ethanol project and Research, for the state Oklahoma:
• Conducted economic feasibility for Sweet Sorghum Ethanol Project for the state of Oklahoma
• Formulation of Sweet Sorghum Ethanol Budget and analyzing the potential for introducing Sweet Sorghum Crop for ethanol production for the state of Oklahoma.
• Developed a decision making tool for producers to analyze the operational and economic feasibility of harvesting land within the given constraints & resources and maximizing the profits to the enterprise.
• Duties involved: identifying key parameters for the project deployment feasibility, developing Decision Making application for the end-user.

• Research Assistant for Biomass gasification project. The project objective is to utilize biomass (Switch grass, Bermuda grass, Corn gluten, Wood chips) to produce ‘Synthesis Gas’. The gas is fed to a bioreactor which converts an assay containing genetically modified Clostridium bacteria to ethanol and acetic acid.
• Biomass gasification team is responsible for synthesis gas production with less that 0.05% of O2, high percentages of H2, and reduce the Tar contents of the bottled gas.
• Responsible for designing & developing mechanical assemblies & components, testing and implementing different assemblies and analysing the project data.
• Project handled: Biomass Gasification Project; worked as Technical Analyst; Process Output is Bio-Ethanol.

Research was funded by Oklahoma Regents, U.S. Department of Energy and Oklahoma State University.
