Selected by CEO and Business EVP to run Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Customer Service for LP’s largest business unit, Oriented Strand Board (OSB). Annual sales total $0.900B – $1,500B (domestic and export sales) from four major product categories. Directly supervise; Marketing Manager, Business Development Manager, National Sales Manager and a Customer Service/Claims Manager. Annual budget responsibilities include; marketing spend of $9 – $11MM and sales budget of $6.3MM.

Aligned existing product portfolio, field sales resources and price strategies to defined business goals, achieving 15% growth, year-over-year, for the last three consecutive years in designated product categories resulting in additional annual revenue of $13.5 – $15.0MM.

Re-branded and launched new product in 2008 with 20% growth in the category by year one, achieving profitable sales within six months of re-launch, 12 months ahead of schedule.

Selected by Business VP to be responsible for all aspects of operations at five state-of-the-art OSB. Direct accountability for safety & environmental compliance, product quality and continuous improvement, production and delivery schedules, asset reliability and plant profitability. Managed and led all budget, growth and cost reduction initiatives pertaining to the mills. Developed and managed annual operating budget of $250MM with gross sales totaling more than $275MM – $560MM/yr.

Led three-year asset reinvestment strategy through capital project deployment of $40 - $60MM annually. Projects increased annual productivity by 10%, reduced annual raw material costs by $7.0MM, reduced energy costs by $4.0MM annually and increased annual revenue by $15 - $35 MM.

Led Greenfield Capital Project to locate, build and start-up a new, state-of-the-art OSB facility in Alabama. Capital funding of $220 million was approved by the board of directors in 2004, with project commissioning in 2007.

Led Safety performance improvement reducing Total Incident Rate (TIR) by 275% over a five-year period for the region and had two mills achieve TIR less than 1.0 for more than one year. Recognized by the APA as operating one of the Industry’s safest mills for two consecutive years.

Led Value-added production/technology advancements yielding 20% - 35% growth annually, increasing annual revenue by an average of $4.5MM.

Led business-wide Asset Reliability Initiative, improving asset up-time performance by 1.5%/yr, over three year span, reducing costs by $3-5 MM annually.
