* One of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Jordan has the EU GMP certificate since 2000 and manufactures antibiotics and other pharmaceutical dosage forms for leading European companies such as Merck, Azu pharma, Lichtenstein, gsk, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

1. *MLT for finished products; syrups , creams, ointments, tablets, hard gelatin and soft gelatin capsules tested according to European pharmacopoeia, United States pharmacopoeia, and EU good manufacturing practices by plate count method and filtration method.

2. MLT for Raw materials susceptible to microbial contamination a according to European pharmacopoeia, United States pharmacopoeia, and manufacturer certificate of analysis.

3. MLT for Purified / Raw water according to European pharmacopoeia, United States pharmacopoeia, and EU good manufacturing practices by filtration method.

* Microbial limit test: Total viable aerobic count, total yeast mold count, specific microorganisms: E.coli, Ps. aeruginosa, S. aureus, Salmonella spp, and other pathogenic microorganisms.
4. Air handling systems monitoring (HVAC): Merck Air Sampler MAS 100 used to test pharmaceutical production rooms and sampling rooms to comply with the EU GMP class D, and USP.

5. Instrumental monitoring: swabbing technique and contact plate methods are used to test production instruments and utensils to comply with the EU GMP class D and USP requirements.

6. Personnel hygiene monitoring: finger prints for production employees to comply with the EU GMP and USP requirements for class D area; Employee general health and hygiene.

7. MLT for Cosmetic products. (contract job)

8. Preservative Efficacy test; Antimicrobial Efficacy test for liquid dosage forms and semi-solid dosage forms.

9. Good Laboratory Practices in microbiology lab/Quality Control department.

10. Routine Hygiene lectures for newly production employee and old employee.

11. SOPs and specifications documentation according to USP, EP, EU GMP and pharmaceutical standards in microbiology lab.

12. Out of specification results followed with engineering department, production department and QA department.

13. Sewage water treatment by microbelift, sending samples to external lab to check that the treated water is complied with the standards.

14. Trend analysis of raw materials, finished products, water results, environmental monitoring; data analysis, required corrective action by microbiology laboratory, production department, or engineering department.

Additional Information:
1. A training Course in Formulation, Manufacture and Control of Sterile dosage forms which is equivalent to 20 hours was held during 08/30/2002- 09/01/2003 by Jordan University of Science and technology.

2. Training Course in Microbial environmental testing according to pharmaceutical standards and FDA, water testing (purified and sewage water) was held during 06/03/2002- 06/06/2002 by Royal Jordanian organization.

3. A trainee in Amman Pharma Industries Co. from 06/25/1999 to 01/23/2000 as a microbiologist/ QC department.
