Objective:
I am certified in elementary education, which starts in Kindergarten but I have had other experiences working with preschool aged children. In addition, as a 2005 graduate from Elmira College where I received my B.A. Childhood Education, as well as a 2007 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania where I received my M.S. Education, I have had many different student teaching experiences in all grades ranging from kindergarten through sixth grade levels, in both suburban and urban school districts. My education experiences would be beneficial to your organization because I work well with others, and have a love for children of all elementary ages. I have always wanted the best for myself and any child that Iíve come in contact with.

I feel one of my strengths as a teacher is building respectful relationships with the students and parents. Children need a classroom with structure and classroom management in order to succeed which I feel are some more of my personal strengths as a teacher. As far as experience and personal drive, I am willing to take on any challenge in order to excel. I am always willing to try new things and look at situations with a different outlook to correspond with the others I am working with. I am a creative, dedicated, hard working teacher who is eager to help students become successful individuals.

I am very interested in collaboration and having a constructivist approach to education, as well as using hands-on activities, cooperative learning, and using an integrated curriculum which includes technology and the internet, when possible. I believe that smaller class sizes would enhance my ability to help students learn to their maximum capability. In addition, working closely with parents and other teachers, I feel, enhances the educational support for all students.

As a teacher, I believe that by using my student teaching experiences both in undergrad and graduate school, as well as my substitute teaching experience, I would make a positive contribution. I would welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience. I can be reached at the phone or email address listed on my attached resume. Thank you for your time and consideration!
