Performed duties as a Custom Protective Officer (CPO) assigned to the Rheem Manufacturing plant in Montgomery, AL. Provide security and safety checks for over 1,200 employee’s. The following are duty highlights: Conduct plant patrols for fire protection and prevention. Perform I.D. card checks at plant pedestrian gate and provide checks for theft control. Monitor plant Close Circuit TV (CCTV) for any unauthorized access and activity’s at the plant. Controls all plant inbound and outbound truck deliveries verifying truck Bills of Lading. Responsible for the data input of the Servicing Carrier Agency Code’s (SCAC) into the Rheem plant Worksmart program for all inbound and outbound trailers. This provides trailer availability to the Rheem plant shipping and receiving office. Custom Protective Officer’s are subject to Random drug testing.

Performed duties as the support staff member assisting the Division Administrator, State Program Manager, Federal Program Manager and Safety Investigators with daily Division operations enforcing and promoting public safety to motor carriers and the general public. The following were duty highlights: The primary office representative receiving all incoming calls from the general public and the office focal point for all daily correspondent distributions. Received calls from motor carriers and the general public providing the initial technical assistance referencing the Code of Federal Regulations 49 (Transportation) Parts 301-399. Assisted the State Program Manager with the Federally funded incentive grant programs claim correspondents for the Commercial Driver License (CDL) program and Motor Carrier Safety Assistant Program (MCSAP) which promote safer Alabama State roadways. Reviewed and forward all travel authorizations and vouchers as the division intermitted approving authority. Authorized T&A time cards using the IPPS system. Office purchase card holder with responsibilities of making authorized purchases of supplies and equipment to support daily office operations. Maintained the division budget report for all office travel and expenditures.
