Job Description:
Choice Railing Ltd. is looking for one Welder Helper for their business located at 31792 Harris Road Abbotsford, BC V4X 1W2. This position is full time permanent with 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
As a Welder Helper, you would be performing the following job duties:
-Assist welders with layout of material.
-Maintain good knowledge of welding techniques and processes.
-Clean metal pieces using chemicals to remove impurities such as slag, rust and grease.
-Oversee the scheduled maintenance of welding and fitting equipment to ensure they are operational and finished project is polished.
-Assist lead welders in performing welding, brazing and cutting operations.
-Clean work areas and equipment.
-Follow the safety protocols and wear appropriate protective clothing such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
-Load and unload vehicles using manual means or handtrucks.
-Return all tools and equipment back to the shop after the job is completed.
