Job Description
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing the work done by the electricians and ensuring that they perform their duties properly. An Electrical Foreman is also responsible for maintaining a proper record of the tasks done at the site and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives so that these records can be referred to in the future when similar problems are faced or goals are to be achieved. He/she is responsible for planning, supervising, and performing all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Install conduit and cabling above and below ground
Pull/terminate aluminum direct bury cable and medium voltage cable (not required but preferred)
Read/interpret blueprint drawings to determine methods, materials, and equipment
Connect/support DC wire
Install electrical enclosures
Terminate low and medium voltage (not required u preferred) lines professionally and supervise others
Supervise the work of electrical activities
Receive and coordinate stating of electrical BOS materials
Perform electrical and pre-functional testing and commissioning
Follow safety rules and notify supervision or others when a safety hazard is observed
Qualifications & Experience
High School Graduate or GED with minimum of 5 years electrical experience
Current and good standing Journeyman license preferred
General knowledge of construction industry standards/processes required
Experience in wire pulling practices and offloading/setting electrical equipment
Must have basic electrical hand tools
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies (provided or procured for use on the project)
Proven commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to supervise multiple operations going on simultaneously
Knowledgeable at Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Competencies
