Job Description:
In need for a full-time live-in caregiver to assist my father, who is a 95-year-old cardiac patient. The individual must know how to clean and clear a catheter, assist in dressing, grooming, bathing, transferring, and getting to and from activities such as daily walks. Must know how to cook North Indian food, speak both Punjabi and Urdu, be aware of cultural practices and Sikh sentiments.
Please note that we want to hire Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada. Youth, Visible minorities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada are welcome to apply. May have to work early morning/Morning, Day, Evening and/or Weekend
Job Requirements:
• Assists with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.
• Speaks fluent Punjabi and English
• Holds certificate, diploma, or degree in health care
• Experience is preferred but not required
• Must be patient and compassionate
• Help organize and administer medicine
• Accompany client to library and activity centers.
• prepare and serve nutritious meals; maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home;
• instruct in personal hygiene and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties;
