Job Description:
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE TECH: This position will be working throughout the LA area as a part of a 2 person crew, maintaining the exterior landscaping of our residential and commercial property accounts of our clients.
Key reponsibiliities include:
Must have positive attitude, plant knowledge, be able to handle constant bending, stooping, grabbing throughout the day, bilingual a plus. Will be traveling as a passenger on a company vehicle from location to location.
* Keeps accounts maintained, consistent with the Rolling Greens aesthetic, including dead heading, trimming, etc.
* Examines plants for insects and disease – consults resources or supervisor to identify problems and determine
treatments.
* Pinches and prunes stems and leaves and branches on trees to remove dead and diseased leaves, to shape plants
and to induce growth
* Removes diseased and dying plants from premises and replaces them with healthy plants
* Effectively presents information and responds to questions and concerns from clients or the general public
* Problem solves and makes decisions on the spot without much direction
* Builds positive relationships with customers
* Communicates with supervisor on a daily basis
* Helps others when needed, even in other departments
* Shows financial responsibility with supplies and replacement plants
LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION TECH: This position will be working throughout the LA area as a part of an installation crew, installing exterior landscaping for our clients of residential and commercial properties.
Key reponsibilities include:
Under direction of the crew leader and designer, installs new landscaping, according to the designer’s plans to include digging holes and irrigation ditches, installs trees and plants, lighting, walkways, flower beds, etc. Must be used to hard labor and have a great attitude and able to work well on a team. Bi-lingual spanish/english a plus.
While performing the duties of the job, it is required to load/unload truck, sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, dig,
lift up to 50 lbs, grasp and reach on a consistent basis. At least 6 months experience preferred.
Job Requirements:
Necessary skills and qualifications
* Should have at least 1-2 years experience caring for exterior plants.
* While performing the duties of the job, it is required to load/unload truck, sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel,
grasp and reach on a consistent basis.
* Must be able to regularly lift and move at least 40 pounds
* Must be self-directed, and reliable to work independently
* Must have good customer relations skills, bi-lingual english/spanish a plus
