Job Description:
Rig, install, balance, calibrate, set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain, large metalworking & finishing machinery including: V & H Boring Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Wire Drawing Machines; Rolling, Rod & Flattening Mills; Coil Slitting & Cutting Machines; Swaging Machines; Tube Formers; Metal Winders; Brakes; etc.
Shall:
*** Assist with installation and setup new capital equipment.
*** Fit sprockets, pulleys, bearings etc.
*** Accurately align subassemblies to main assemblies.
*** Press shafts, bearings, mating parts, drill, tap, and cut materials.
*** Mount and connect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
*** Ensure equipment is level and aligned correctly including overhead crane and gantry systems and heavy-duty conveyors required for moving stock into place.
*** Set up and test equipment to ensure proper finishes and tolerances are achieved for products too large for traditional CNC machine tools (lathes, Mills, Grinders, etc.).
*** Train staff on proper operation and maintenance during commissioning.
*** Repair equipment and assist with retrofit upgrades or modifications.
