Job Description:
Prime Asia TV Ltd is looking for full time Host /Hostess for our world famous TV Channel, A TV channel with unique perspective to bring communities together by raising awareness of social issues, while bringing full on entertainment, dramas, reality shows, news & much more.
Positions Available: 1
Job Type: Permanent, Fulltime
Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible
Wage Rate: $ 22 /hour (for 40 hours/week)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Diploma /College level diploma /certificate in related field would be an asset.
Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in the related field is required.
Knowledge of Punjabi literature , excellent Communication and presentation skills, research and interviewing skills are required.
Communication skills in English & Punjabi are required.
Job duties:
• Introduce and host programmes, read the news, interview people and report on issues and events.
• Careful planning that goes into every programme, including rehearsals and research.
• May write their own material and they also need to be able to memorize script;
• liaising with other members of the production and technical teams.
• keeping the programme running to schedule, responding positively and quickly to problems or changes and improvising where necessary;
• Establishes relationship with television audience providing entertainment and/or information of interest consistent with format, genre, and targeted demographic audience
• Interview guests, moderates debates, converses with co-host during taped and live events
• Researches and gains knowledge of subject matter that facilitates speaking extemporaneously and providing immediate non-scripted analysis/commentary
• Adheres to all guidelines, policies and procedures of the company, the and all other federal, state and local laws, including policies and procedures regarding indecency and obscenity
• Participates in required meetings, events and promotional campaigns
• Maintains a social media personality presence to promote the show and company brand
• Prepares written content, production assets and video footage for websites, blogs, or other social media platforms, when necessary
• Writes and delivers scripts for studio tapings and packaged stories
• Handles emergency inserts (e.g. news updates and breaking stories, emergencies, etc.)
