A biotech leader is seeking a Chief Business Development Officer to help guide the company through a successful Series A fundraising effort. The company is developing drugs to prevent noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus. The lead product, an FDA-approved drug, is currently in phase II clinical trials. The drug is administered orally and will be tested for its efficacy in both preventing and treating noise-induced hearing loss.
The successful candidate will work with the management team to raise private funding and develop the strategic development plan. This will include securing series A funding and developing strategic partnerships with large pharmaceutical companies.
Experience and Education
- Experience in the Pharma industry is required
- Demonstrated ability to raise private early stage capital (series A and subsequent funding)
- Has worked to repurpose FDA approved drugs for new indications
- 505b2 Regulatory pathway experience
- IND Process experience preferred
- Familiar with the fields of hearing loss and tinnitus preferred
Must have exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills necessary to build a strong and effective team within the organization, yet still relate to and be hands-on.
