Job Description:
Perform examinations and evaluate patients’ dental health using dental air turbines, hand instruments, dental appliances, X-Rays, and other diagnostic equipment. Analyze patients’ dental records to determine patterns of dental disease. Formulate and implement treatment plans to maintain and restore the oral health of patients. Calculate and ensure the safe administration of anesthetics to perform surgical procedures on patients’ teeth and soft tissue, including root canal therapy and endodontic procedures as needed. Treat tooth exposure by removing pulp from pulp chamber or root canal and other diseased tissues. Advise and inform patients regarding preventive dental care, including the causes and treatment of dental problems. Write prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications.
