Salary range is Minimum $26.50/hr to Maximum $50.82/hr – based on relevant RN experience



Work Schedule:



  • Full-time: Night shift 6:30PM-7:00AM. (3) 12-hour shifts/week, Rotating weekend and holidays. Self-scheduling.


The Maternal/Newborn department at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET and Texas 10-Step designated facility, has received a “Best Place to Have a Baby” designation.



  • 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit

  • Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care), and some GYN overflow patients

  • Nurses/candidates for the department are the primary care coordinator of interdisciplinary patient care activities and is responsible for the management of patients throughout their continuum of care at Texas Health Resources.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Associate's degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) is required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred – completion of BSN within 2 years of start date required.
• One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN Residency program required. (More than 2-years current Mother/Baby, couplet care RN experience from an acute care facility strongly preferred)



  • RN – Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire

  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required



Skills
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.



  • Basic computer skills - computerized charting - use EPIC/Care Connect preferred

  • Critical thinking skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and service excellence skills are also essential attributes for this position.
