Job Summary

Our House is a non-profit organization serving people living with HIV/AIDS. We are currently looking for a Full-time CMA to work in our 14 bed residential facility. Our House’s philosophy is rooted in harm reduction and includes compassionate communication and the building of a strong sense of community to inspire people living with HIV to live well.

CMAs interested in working at Our House must have the following qualifications as well as an interest in working in a unique, progressive environment:

Basic computer skills
Ability to work within a client centered structure
Open to working with mental illness, substance use and emotional health challenges
Team oriented
Responsibilities and Duties

A CMA at Our House is responsible for administering medication, assisting residents with ADL’s, Coordinating care and appointments and advocating for resident needs. CMAs work as a team with other clinical staff to manage symptoms and behaviors in our diverse population affected by HIV and other co-occurring conditions such as liver disease, diabetes, mental illness and substance use. Must be a Certified Medication Aide.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills

Oregon Board of Nursing Certified CMA
CPR certified
Willingness to participate in care planning, charting and in reporting
Sensitivity to issues regarding mental illness and substance use—willingness to work in a harm reduction model
Skills in organization, prioritization, initiation and communication
Ability to lift 10-20 pounds
