Job Description:
Early Head Start Family Partner/Home Visitor:
The CSIU has a full time job opportunity responsible for providing support services to parents/families with infants and toddlers (pre-birth to age 3) in a home-based setting. Also responsible for providing parent involvement activities and child development activities for families during weekly home visits in the Northumberland County area.
Hourly range is $11.82 to $18.81 dependent on qualifications and experience. Non-exempt position working 7.5 hours per day over 260 days per year. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.
Job Requirements:
Education requirements include either one of the following:
a. High school diploma / equivalent and a home-based Child Development Associate (CDA) with a minimum of two (2) years’ home visiting and two (2) years’ experience with infant/toddler/ preschool children.
b. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in the areas of Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field with two (2) years’ experience with teaching infant/toddler/preschool children. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
c. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a non-related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience with preschool children and home visiting experience may be considered. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Coursework in early childhood education, experience with infants and toddlers and home visiting experience preferred.
