We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to support the 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract, to provide the Air Force information technology (IT) services. Position will be located at Lackland AFB, TX.


The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain web pages and other related software (client or server). The candidate will extend existing and/or implement new websites, forms and templates using, but not limited to, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and various SQL databases and SharePoint. The candidate will interface directly with customers to understand new requirements and/or proposed enhancements and identified issues. Candidate will troubleshoot and fix customer issues and deploy solutions at the customer sites.

Required Experience:



  • BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and three (3) to five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.

  • Must have TS/SCI with DCID 6/4 eligibility within 5.5 years at the time of application

  • Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph

  • DOD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification (e.g. Security+ CE or CCNA Security)

  • 3 to 5 years' experience performing web development activities utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Sitefinity, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.

  • Strong web-coding skills and experience using relevant coding languages such as HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, etc.

  • Interfacing with databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.

  • Developing responsive layouts and designs, and building effective, intuitive user interfaces

  • Managing website redesigns including user journeys and driving conversion

  • Performing user testing or usage analysis to assess web sites' effectiveness or usability

  • Testing issues of interoperability, performance, and system security

  • Correcting test-identified problems or recommending actions for resolution

  • Implementing security measures or patches to enable authorized customers access to data

  • Good project coordination skills, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills



Desired Experience:



  • Experience optimizing SQL stored procedures and functions

  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, VBScript, or Perl

  • Experience with tools and concepts supporting software version control systems

  • Technical knowledge and technical writing ability for writing technical requirements, design documents, and deployment documentation

  • Experience developing web-based applications using C#, ASP.Net, or SQL would be a plus.

  • Familiarity with ITIL

  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.

  • There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.



Work Environment




  • Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

  • No known hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.

  • Periodic/occasional travel may be required to include both continental US and/or overseas locations.

Equipment and Machines



  • Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computer, server, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.



Attendance




  • Typical duty day is Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

  • Regular attendance during scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, with the exceptions of deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines.

  • May be required to adjust work hours due to surge situations based on critical mission requirements




Other Essential Functions



  • Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.

  • Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.

  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others.

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.

  • Independent personal transportation to work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary.

  • When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt. In addition, no cellular devices are to be used when the vehicle is in motion.
