Job Description:

The Help Desk Technician II is responsible for ensuring that company's office systems, applications, network, telecommunications, end user devices and associated equipment run smoothly by receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Provide technical, software, hardware, and network solutions to all computer users. This position is for first shift - Hours TBD Monday thru Friday with required flexibility (for other possible hours and days), after the initial training period. The technician will be expected to cover holidays as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responds to and logs requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically

  • Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues

  • Researches problems using available information resources

  • Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention

  • Tracks and routes problems and requests, and documents resolutions

  • Perform hands on fixes at the desk top level including installing, upgrading and troubleshooting end user hardware and software

  • Moderate customer phone contact

  • Stays current with system information, changes, and updates

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications including Active Directory

  • A thorough understanding of Windows directory structure and role based securities Basic knowledge of Citrix technologies

  • Ability to perform maintenance on laptop, pc and printer hardware including replacing defective parts

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain to and guide end users through troubleshooting over the phone

  • Ability to research and resolve issues with a minimum of guidance

  • Ability to travel

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • A+ Certification is desirable

  • Knowledge of SAP software and IT certifications are a plus
