Our facility is well equipped to coordinate with large and complex projects. We are currently looking for a qualified and professional “CNC Machinist” to join our team. As a “CNC Machinist” you will be working as an experienced machinist to make our tools easier to use. If you are someone who has required experience and knowledge of tools and its uses and will want to work to build elegant, efficient, high performance, creative tools, this position is for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: CNC Machinist (1 Vacancy)
JOB LOCATION: 920 Matheson Blvd. E, Mississauga, ON
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Regular; Permanent; Full time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: $23.50 per hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 35- 40 hours/week
EXPERIENCE: 1 year to 2 years of experience is required in the same position
WORK SETTING: General Manufacturing

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Read and interpret engineering and mechanical drawings and charts, blueprints, and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed and plan the best sequence of operations.
• Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
• Measure, examine and test completed units in order to detect and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments
• Compute and input dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out workpieces into machines
• Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations.
• Maintain and draft inspection reports and convey issues to the shift manager to ensure quality assurance procedure.
• Provide continuous training to machine apprentices and fellow employees as assigned.
• Work with maintenance team to reduce downtime


Job Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School is required
• 1-2 years proven experience in the position of CNC Machinist is strongly preferred
• WHMIS certificate is an asset
• Working knowledge and experience with surface grinders, tool grinders, CNC Machines, milling machines, Drill presses, Form cutting machines, Automatic lathes, Cylindrical grinders, sawing machine, shapers, computer-aided design
• Should be able to handle up to 23kg weight
• Must have his own steel-toed safety boots
• Must have experience using Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre, Verniers, and Gauges
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality, integrity, ethics, and professionalism and should be fluent in English
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment
• Ability to work independently, flexible, good time management, organizational, good teamwork and Interpersonal Skills.
