Job Description:
The Sr. Manufactuiring Supervisor supervises or oversees shift(s)/smaller operation and/or project/assignment including safety, regulatory and environmental compliance by planning and organizing cross-functional activities.Lead teams to ensure incident and CAPA effectiveness as well as continuous improvement initiatives to meet company/department/site goals, expectations, policies and procedures. Executes assignments of high complexity, and developing solutions for defined problems in order to meet objectives in accordance with cGMP, Safety Regulations and production schedule. Analyzes processes and operations to develop and execute plans in order to meet departmental objectives as well as business objectives. May be responsible for providing input on budgeting process and actively ensuringspending is controlled through budgetary approvals (PO's/Invoices).





Primary responsibilities for role:

•Leads the planning and organization of specific job assignments in accordance with cGMP, Safety Regulations and production schedule.
•May oversee Training and Documentation Manufacturing function.
•Manage employee performance, attendance and coach/counsel as needed. In addition, identify & develop high performers.
•Lead incident and corrective action/preventive action process for reported incidents.
•Lead CI continuous improvement initiatives for department processes and systems.
•Prepares budgets for area of responsibility and ensures budget adherence.
•Monitor and communicate ways to improve yields and production performance.
•Analyze, plan and report on current and future resource/FTE planning, processes and production activities.
•Authorizes approved expenditures based on guidelines (i.e. PO's, invoices, etc.)
•Responsible for HES and quality compliance.
•Author and execute ETPs
•Tracking metrics related to incidents, CAPAs and document revisions.
•Provide input or may sometimes lead on various project initiatives (i.e. new technology, etc.)
•Promote, champion and lead employees awareness of company/department/site goals, expectations, policies and procedures.
•Experience with Type I incidents and qualified authors preferred.




Additional Responsibilities:
•Chairs inter/intra-departmental teams.
•Develops skills in reporting non-technical/technical status against business parameters.
•Chairs inter/intra-departmental teams to resolve complex BU issues or to improve plant wide systems.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to influence, lead teams and promote a team environment. Demonstrate effective leadership skills.




Education:

BS/BA degree in a relevant field and 4 years of proven technical/project management in a FDA, USDA environment. In addition, 4 years proven supervisory/leadership experience required.




Equivalency:

Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
