Job Description:
Evergreen College Markham campus is a registered private career college under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. We are also a designated learning institution (DLI) authorized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. We offer a wide range of English preparation, diploma and certificate programs through personalized, interactive instruction that gives students a solid database of skills and knowledge that will help them succeed in their new careers.
Apart from post-secondary education, we are expanding our tutoring services to students between the age of 12 and 19, and who are preparing themselves for post-secondary education. Therefore, we are now seeking a Tutoring Service Manager to lead our new line of business. This is a permanent job position reporting directly to the President of the college.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish or implement policies and procedures for staff
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations for tutoring service
• Establish and execute the yearly plan for the business
• Create sales promotion strategies and provide training for counselors
• Interview and hire tutors and counselors
• Develop and organize workshops and event for information purpose
• Prepare brochures, reports and other materials for marketing purpose
• Manage social media marketing activities to engage followers and increase the awareness of the business
• Address parents’ complaints or concerns
• Plan and control budget and inventory
• Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies


Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Secondary school diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a tutoring school or running tutoring business for students between the age of 16 and 19
• Experience in handling budget more than $50,000 per annum
• Experience in communicating with students between the age of 16 and 19, and their parents
• Demonstrated ability in hiring, training and supervising staff
• Good knowledge of Microsoft word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint
• Strong multi-tasking skills and time management skills, with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize a diverse workload to meet the high expectations for quality, accuracy, and timeliness
• Excellent attention to details and client focus
• Willing to work on Saturday and work from 3 pm to 9 pm on weekdays

Salary
$51,480 per annum ($33.00 per hour for 30 hours per week and 52 weeks per annum)

Work Schedule
2 pm to 8 pm from Tuesday to Friday and 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday
