The Legal Administrative Assistant assists and performs administrative and clerical work for the Legal team by scheduling appointments, developing and maintaining filing systems, making travel arrangements, preparing and altering communications, including written and visual presentations, screening telephone calls and visitors, processing expense reports, reviewing all mail and noting action items/deadlines, and handeling routing correspondence.

  • Prepares memoranda, legal papers, and correspondence of a legal nature.

  • Assists with general office functions including, but not limited to, filing, copying, processing mail, maintaining records / files, and coordinating office equipment maintenance.

  • Coordinates travel plans and meetings for Legal Department personnel.

  • Conducts research and compiles statistical reports. Creates and maintains databases, as assigned.

  • Manages personnel calendars and assists with meeting deadlines.

  • Prepares monthly invoices for payment.

  • Receive, log, and distribute lawsuits, complaints, and garnishments served against the Company.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma; Associates or bachelor's degree desirable

  • Certified Executive Administrative Professional (CEAP) preferred

  • Five years administrative or secretarial experience

  • Five years of related legal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently

  • Must read, write, and speak fluent English

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
