DESCRIPTION:


The Associate Creative Director (ACD) of Copy will be responsible for leading the copy and creative work that is produced for Oncology launch brands. This leadership role includes managing teams to complete the work as well as inspiring those teams to consistently produce exceptional creative. Must be able to work collaboratively, across disciplines. This role also requires stellar presentation skills and an ability to build strong relationships with the client(s).



RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Development of creative strategy (positioning, communication strategy, messaging per stakeholder, tactical implementation) based on in-depth scientific, clinical, and marketplace understanding throughout the product life cycle




  • Presentation of creative strategy and deliverables internally and externally in an informed and engaging manner; able to develop and sell the big idea




  • Leadership and mentoring of creative teams to produce high quality creative that is original and strategically sound




  • Day-to-day supervision of copy staff on assigned accounts and review of copy-related deliverables




  • Maintains schedules and budgets efficiently to ensure on-time completion of all jobs within budget constraints, including optimal utilization of resources




  • Significant contribution to new business activities




  • Maintains important trends in advertising and disseminates pertinent information to creative staff



    QUALIFICATIONS




  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications, Strategic Marketing or related field required.




  • Minimum of 8+ years healthcare advertising agency experience, strong Oncology experience required




  • Competency in high science promotional writing is required; Must be able to manage direct reports.




  • Experience in digital writing and strong conceptual skills required.




  • Self-Motivated and able to manage many moving parts; Ability to interact with clients frequently
