Pharmacist In Charge needed to perform the following duties:



∑ Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Collaborate with many physicians, office staff, insurance companies, etc. regarding coverage issues and rejected claims. Dialog with emergency room physicians and hospitals to coordinate the most effective use of drug therapy to generate maximum benefit to the patient.

∑ Compound and dispense medications as per physicianís prescriptions. Perform prospective Drug

∑ Utilization, review new and refilled prescriptions for allergies, medication adherence, drug interactions and therapeutic duplication for safe and effective medication administration.

∑ Face-to-face sessions, comprehensive medication review (CMR), phone call follow-ups with patients suffering from multiple chronic medical conditions for better pharmaceutical care

∑ Counsel patients about medications and side effects. Compound non-sterile customized medication preparation of ointments and creams as per physicianís instructions.

∑ Ensure proper precautions and security measures while handling control medications by complying with federal and state regulations.

∑ Maintaining up-to-date pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops, webinars, didactic continuing education credits and reviewing professional publications. Educating other health care providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, Ophthalmologists) corresponding formulary changes categorical to various health plans

∑ Advise patients on prescriptions and non-prescription medications.

∑ Advise patients about drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.

∑ Order and monitor supply of drugs.

∑ Compliance with state and federal laws, regulated by State Board of Pharmacy (BOP), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

∑ Maintain and run pharmacy premises in accordance to state and federal laws and regulations.

∑ Use Micro-Merchant pharmacy software.

∑ Supervise one Pharmacy Technician and one Technician Trainee.


Bachelorís Degree required in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science OR Pharm-D.
