The SharePoint/O365 developer assists with the ongoing operation of the Proposal Center's custom SharePoint and related applications. Duties include troubleshooting site issues, working with the SharePoint developers, and analyzing user activity. In this role, the developer designs, implements, and maintains workflows/Flows, JavaScript programs, PowerApps, PowerBI, and web part solutions that provide the core functionality for SharePoint and other applications. The developer creates and deploys new SharePoint lists/libraries/ and subsites as needed while providing customer support and guidance for the Proposal Center's user community. The developer also addresses system performance problems by promptly notifying the correct corporate IT teams and by making application changes, when appropriate. The individual also supports the team by helping with the company's CRM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the ongoing maintenance and operation of the Proposal Center's SharePoint site collections.

  • Answers questions, provides technical assistance, resolves problems, and performs design and development work as needed.

  • Resolves application, coding, and system issues in a manner that minimizes user downtime.

  • Analyzes daily user activity on SharePoint as needed.

  • Monitors SharePoint software for any glitches or problems and promptly troubleshoots issues.

  • Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity as needed.

  • Addresses questions or concerns from business owners, directors, and related stakeholders regarding the function of the software.

  • Maintains the standard look and feel of the Proposal Center's published portal page and modifies the page if required by management.

  • Develops workflows and undertakes other technical development and coding tasks.

  • Provides training or technical assistance to maintain the Proposal Center's SharePoint functionality.

  • Works collaboratively with the team's existing SharePoint consultants

  • Develops new capabilities using SharePoint Designer, PowerApps, PowerBI, Flows, and any other O365 tool to achieve the required capability.

  • Supports CRM users by developing reports, modifying business rule functionality, and implementing changes, updates, and customizations when necessary.

  • Prepares and maintains user and system documentation.

  • Attends IT conferences /training to further O365 and SharePoint skills and knowledge.

  • Supports other MAXIMUS business areas with their SharePoint deployments as requested by the Proposal Center management,

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science is preferred, but a bachelor's degree with demonstrated SharePoint experience may act as a substitute for a computer-related degree.

  • Demonstrated ability to design workflows using SharePoint Designer.

  • Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint permissions and permission groups.

  • Solid understanding of JavaScript coding and its use in the SharePoint environment.

  • The ability and willingness to learn the JavaScript coding under the supervision of Senior SharePoint Developers and Architects.

  • Familiarity with PowerApps, PowerBI, and Flows.
