QC IT Project Manager

Supports achievement of project objectives by facilitating and assisting with management of project activities and tasks. Assists in coordinating QC IT projects activities (LIMS, LES, ELN, SDMS, Empower) to support ongoing Quality Control department needs.

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Leads projects and prioritizes using excellent organizational, communication and time management skills

  • Communicate project progress and risks to upper management and stakeholders (internal and external)

  • Manage the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects simultaneously

  • Coordinates contingency and risk mitigation planning for projects.

  • Apply project management principles, concepts and techniques to new and ongoing QC IT initiatives.

  • Focus and influence cross-functional teams to achieve timelines

  • Lead meetings relevant to assigned projects as required.

  • Acts as liaison with IT, QC testing groups, Lab Systems and QA Validation to support project goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • ​Ability to arrange schedule and activities to accomplish project objectives and timelines.

  • Requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities with organizational and time management skills.

  • Positive, proactive approach to drive projects/tasks to completion.

  • Must be a strong, dependable team player.

  • Familiarity with electronic lab management systems and quality compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in related field and preferred minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience; may substitute relevant experience for education.

  • Experience with deploying Enterprise Applications across multiple sites. Labware LIMS and/or Waters NuGenesis experience is preferred but not required.

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York are encouraged to apply.
