Job Description:

The Warehouse Manager directs all the warehousing activities for the organization and inventory of goods. Performs as the champion for inventory control and outstanding customer service by interacting and providing support in logistics and warehousing. Manages time and attendance and scheduling of the warehouse support staff.


  • Implements and maintains material handling preventative maintenance programs, ensuring effective equipment utilization and safety measures are in place.

  • Lead implementation of process and technology improvements (cycle counting, order picking, shipping and receiving), including cost, quality and safety recommendations for changes and/or improvements.

  • Develops procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment.

  • Control and direct all transportation into and out of the warehouse to meet company time constraints while meeting GMP and safety requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws in maintaining the sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of the warehouse, storeroom, freezers, coolers, company vehicles, and equipment.

  • Controls inventory accuracy of ingredients, product, material and supplies by participating in monthly physical inventories / cycle count program and maintaining/documenting inventory records.

  • Ensures proper usage of raw materials by rotating inventory according to FIFO methodology.

  • Communicates regularly with management, other supervisory personnel, and warehouse staff to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.

  • Motivates team to maintain a high level of accuracy on transactions, high level of productivity and keep their area clean and organized.

Ideal Candidate

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, or closely relevant

  • 3-5 years comparable supervisory experience, preferably in food industry.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Syspro knowledge a plus.
