Job Description:


We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to assess training and development needs and create solutions that enhance and sustain our talent and leadership capability. This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with our senior leaders across North America to implement talent initiatives that engage, align, develop and retain the necessary talent to achieve our strategic goals. This role will be critical to enabling organizational performance and effectiveness.

Requirements include:

  • Degree in Instructional Design, HR, Leadership Studies, or related field

  • 5+ years developing and facilitating learning programs in a corporate setting, preferably in a route-based business

Performance Objectives and accountabilities:

Developing the capabilities of our colleagues through:

  1. Leadership Programs - Acts as the program manager to develop and deliver multiple leadership learning paths. Some examples include:

  • Leadership University - Our introductory leadership course for all managers and supervisors

  • RAMP - The Rentokil management trainee program for new graduates

  • LDP - Creates content customized to a group of high potential leaders

  • LMI - Line Manager Index training designed to increase colleague engagement and enablement

  • Field Manager learning paths

  • Assess potential of participants and deliver feedback for individual colleague development

  • Provide insight to ELT during quarterly succession planning

  1. Course Development - Uses ID methods and Adult Learning principles to:

  • Develop Learning paths and e-learning courses using authorware, system, sound and graphics software

  • Develop ILT (Instructor-Led Training) content and materials

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop courses and keep content current and relevant to learners

  • Oversee online learning programs either Rentokil developed or provided by outside vendor, to ensure functionality, accuracy, and system compatibility

  • Participate in field rides/visits to increase business knowledge

  • Effectively transition learners from training to formal work environment, ensuring competency levels meet business needs

  1. Projects and Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional leaders to assess and prioritize training needs across the business

  • Partner with SME's to create mutual understanding of roles and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and vendors

  • Develop effective communication strategies to increase awareness and usage of learning programs

  • YVC Engagement Survey Coordination

  • Develop and maintain communication and training for the annual Performance Review Process

  • Administer the Rentokil Scholarship Program and Tuition Reimbursement Benefit

Working Environment

  • May be based in any large metro area with preference of Philadelphia, Charlotte, Chicago, or Anaheim

  • Overnight travel is required
