Job Description:
The Jennersville YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the key leadership role of Advanced Director of Healthy Living. This is an excellent opportunity for a tenured staff who has demonstrated competencies in staff and program development, communication skills, relationship building and project management. We are currently seeking a candidate with a commitment to member engagement and excellent service.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Advanced Director of Healthy Living provides operational leadership to community integrated health initiatives, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the wellness center, personal training program and group exercise program. The Advanced Director of Healthy Living leads initiatives to increase the YMCA's position in the community as a leading partner in addressing chronic health challenges along with serving those with Diverse Abilities. This position serves on the branch leadership team and is also responsible for managing healthy living related financials, supervision of staff, volunteer development and for being a YMCA advocate in the community. A strong focus is placed on delivering a superior member experience, enhancing member connection and engagement, thereby leading to increasing member satisfaction and retention.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in health and wellness related field or equivalent preferred. Minimum of three years of related experience in health and wellness management and staff supervision. Experience with Diabetes Prevention, LIVESTRONG at the Y or other chronic health programs, a plus. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and evenings.

Benefits and Compensation Details:

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine currently offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes a free Y membership, medical and dental insurance along with a 12% employer contribution to the retirement savings plan. The approximate starting annual salary range is $47,500 to $50,000, less applicable taxes and withholdings, based on experience.
