This is a Sr. Software Developer hands-on position who understands all phases of software development, including UI / User Interface design and development, microservices design and development, relational and non-relational DB design and development, APIs and external integration, quality engineering, security, and infrastructure. The Developer plays a critical role working closely with the business and across the IT organization defining, delivering and supporting IT business solutions and supporting roadmaps. The individual will be accountable for understanding business functions and user stories, decomposing them into technical specifications, and developing working application code. The candidate must have experience in working and leading Agile teams consisting of other Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers, with teams that are both co-located and distributed onshore and offshore.)

  • Analyze business requirements/processes and system integration considerations to determine their feasibility, time requirements, compatibility with current systems, architecture standards, and provide appropriate technology solutions

  • Work closely with Business Analysis and Project Management in prioritizing assigned work and providing options/alternatives

  • Lead the design activities for existing and new components; make recommendations to the technology leadership

  • Ability to simplify design complexities for Junior Developers to meet the quality and timeline objectives

  • Analyze complex systems and programming problems and recommend and implement appropriate solutions

  • Prepare business cases, project plans, and software specifications in support of project life cycle.

  • Perform and coordinate testing and debugging including preparation of data for unit, string, and parallel testing

  • Perform system upgrades for 3rd party vendor software including planning and scheduling, coordinating and deploying

  • Ensure availability and performance of systems and application environments through proactive as well as reactive analysis and maintenance

  • Learn new applications, technologies, system behaviors and business processes as they relate to customer needs

  • Plans, conducts and manages assignments involving large, (cross-functional) projects/enhancements consisting of other Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers, on teams that are both co-located and distributed onshore and offshore

  • Resolve customer issues with solutions and respond with suggestions for improvements and enhancements

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in Engineering discipline preferably Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 6 + years of progressive programming experience in development projects and support associated with Oracle and PL/SQL.

  • Strong Sr. Lead Developer (Technical Lead) with excellent understanding of Oracle and PL/SQL and good understanding of various other platforms from Mainframe to Microservices architecture

  • 6 + years experience with Oracle and demonstrated experience with multi-terabyte warehouse systems.Must be knowledgeable and experienced in relational database concepts, Oracle database architecture, as well as Oracle database management

  • 6 + years experience with PL/SQL coding with intensive data analysis, planning and conducting integrated testing of ETL. Must have tuning expertise in Oracle environment

  • 4 +years of Agile (one or more of these) - JIRA, Confluence, Slack

  • 4 + years of experience in full lifecycle delivery of complex systems, including requirements, design, build, test, and deployment

  • 4 + years of excellent communication skills verbally and in writing used when leading software development activities, presenting to leadership, and training less experienced developers

  • 4 + of experience working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery processes and tool automation

  • Experience withCloud development (one of more of these) - IBM Cloud, AWS, MS Cloud, Google Cloud, Microservies architecture

  • Experience with Big Data technologies (Cassandra, Sqoop, Hive, Talend, etc.)

  • Experience with Java, Spring Framework, REST Standards, Git
