Responsibilities:
* Manage software request ticket queues.
* Submission of purchase requisitions for new software needs.
* Ensure that software inventories are appropriately managed to balance risk and cost.
* Reclaim licenses that are no longer needed or in use.
* Facilitate on-boarding of new software suppliers and titles into the organization.
* Assist with streamlining and improving software management processes.
* Work with internal stakeholders to understand the expected software business purposes and usage trends.
* Partner closely with the business to understand software requirements and demand to determine the appropriate licensing strategy and inventory levels to be maintained.
* Perform data analysis of license usage to identify usage trends, costs changes, and other monthly metrics.
* Participate during software contract creation to define license requirements and software management strategies.

* A typical work day will be spent managing the software request queues from an internal ServiceNow system. This will include engaging with business requestors to understand their need and managing the software procurement process. Time will be spend analyzing software usage and placing licenses that are not in use back in the license inventory. There will be occasional meetings as the team meets every week. There will also be in person, video, and phone conversations with software requestors and users. Special projects are common to execute process improvement initiatives. A typical day will consist of a mixtures of these different types of activities.

* This role assist the company with day to day management of internal software procurement and ongoing software maintenance.

* The broader License Management team has two main responsibilities.
o Customer Licensing - the team efficiently manages, optimizes, and reports software license for customer consumption.

o Internal Licensing - the team efficiently manages, optimizes, and reports software licenses for internal operations.
* The team currently has 7 members. Four team members are primarily assigned to customer licensing and the remaining 3 are assigned to internal software management. There is a portion of overlap and cross training that also occurs between the different functions. The team members range from License Manager I to Senior/Lead License Managers. The team members work hard and also have a good time. We collaborate extensively on team functions and process improvements.

* This team member will sit within the team area and interact regularly with the full team. This individual will participate in full team meetings. The primary day to day interactions will be with the License Manager II that leads the internal software function. This individual will take day to day instruction from the License Manager II. The department is led by the Director of License Management. The Director has weekly one on ones with each team member however interaction with the Director will be daily.

Required Skills (and years of experience): TOP 5 SKILLS NEEDED
* An understanding of software asset management principals, processes, and systems
* Strong knowledge and use of MS Excel.
* Strong analytical skills, data collection and analysis.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills
Preferred Skills: (NICE TO HAVES)
* 2+ years of experience in internal software management or a related field required
* Software Asset Management Certifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or related field

Required Soft Skills:
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Ability to maintain a holistic view while digging in and thoroughly comprehending the details
* Ability to think outside the box to find optimal solutions

Education Requirement:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or related field (Can be substituted with relevant software management experience)

Required Certifications/Testing:
* Software asset management certifications are a plus, but not necessarily required
