Compliance Director

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership and oversees all operations to ensure the organization is complaint with all applicable Federal and State collection The position requires advance knowledge of debt collections regulatory compliance requirements and of leading and running debt collection compliance programs.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state collection laws as well as keeps up to date with continuing changes and communicates changes to the company.
Develops, reviews, implements, and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure continuity and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
Collaborates with other departments to investigate and resolve compliance issues. Consults with the General Counsel as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
Responsible for compliance of revenue as well as non-revenue positions, specifically Sales and Support Services, in a third-party collection agency.
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and SOPs by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Oversees system for uniform handling of such violations .
Manages all state licensing
Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved in an objective manner.
Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify
Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to keep management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
Develops, deploys and manages Training and Auditing tools
Staff and budget management



Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years' experience in 3rd party compliance collection agency directly managing CFPB requirements.
Experience developing company-wide SOPs.
Managing and maintaining all state
Experience managing a CMS software
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or
Desired: Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the collection field, including
