Job Summary

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for reviewing and updating existing pay programs and developing new pay programs. Taking note of any inefficiencies or areas in need of improvement in current process and prepares improvement recommendations along with supporting evidence. Identify relevant market data and trends regarding employee salaries, ensuring consistency and alignment with current business needs and present competitive and reasonable recommendations. Assist in preparation of merit increase process, projects, incentive programs and budgeting. Review and monitor employee pay and recommend reviews if necessary. Design and prepare ad hoc compensation and budget related reports for management. Write job descriptions and maintain database of all job descriptions. Collaborate with HR Partners and Supervisors in promotions presetting compensation analysis recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responds to requests for market benchmarking and pricing of new and existing positions ensuring internal/external equity and appropriate FLSA status.

  • Participates in external compensation practice surveys and benchmarking.

  • Administrates company salary / wage range matrix structures and pay grades including periodic review and recommendation for adjustments.

  • Supports annual salary administration process by recommending annual budgets and increase guidelines.

  • Collaborates with manufacturing to review, benchmark and present annual classification increase recommendations.

  • Maintains and runs periodic and ad-hoc compensation reports providing analysis as needed.

  • Assists in the administration of Company incentive plans including Management Incentive Plan (MIP) and Business Value Added Plan by keeping accurate participant listings.

  • Maintains integrated and accurate 401k reporting and internal audits.

  • Assists in the administration of Company Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan. Keeping accurate participant records and coordinating open enrollment.

  • Keeps current on all related regulations and serving as internal SME providing periodic counseling and education for HR staff and management.

  • Assists HR Business Partners and management team with maintaining and updating Job Descriptions for all positions company-wide

  • Ensures accuracy of all compensation data and conduct periodic audits.

  • Maintains vendor partner relationships and compliance including PayScale and Aon.

  • Provides analytical support and data analysis on projects and human resource metrics

  • Works with HRIS Specialist to ensure all aspects of job creation/position codes are entered in a timely manner

Skills/Work Experience

  • Human Resources principals, confidentiality and best practices in compensation

  • Applicable Federal, State and local rules, regulations and statutes

  • High degree of attention to detail

  • Research methods and data analysis techniques

  • Utilizing Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for analysis of data

  • Customer service principles

  • Effectively Communicate verbally and in writing and preparing reports

  • Addressing difficult & sensitive situations in a constructive manner

  • Understand and follow broad and complex instructions
