KATV, in Little Rock, AR, has an opening for a full-time Audio Operator / Studio Crew member. This position will be responsible for operating audio console during newscasts. If selected for this role, you must be able to work nights and weekends.



Required Skills:




  • Must have experience operating multi-channel audio console during live events

  • Must be familiar with interrupt feedback systems

  • Familiar with live studio production aspects

  • Maintaining and operating cameras, lights, microphones and all studio equipment

  • Set-up work and tasks during live broadcasts

  • Clean up and prep work for the next broadcast

  • Dependability and promptness

  • Experience making minor repairs to electronic production equipment helpful

  • Experience as a lighting director a plus

  • Must be able to lift and carry 35 to 50 pounds of equipment



Required Experience:




  • Audio experience is required

  • Able to exhibit working knowledge of production equipment used in daily work

  • College degree in Radio/TV or related field is preferred

  • Related experience will be evaluated by department management and may be substituted on the basis of one year of experience equals one year of education

  • 1-2 years of experience in TV studio production is preferred

  • Knowledge of studio television camera equipment required
