Job Description:

Control Center Operator- Downtown Stamford, CT

$200 Bonus will be issued after 90 days of employment for applicants with a CT Guard Card at the time of hire.

Pay: $14.00

Job Summary

  • Monitors security systems and provides appropriate response according to established procedures

  • Initial contact and assessment of all Security related Access Control and Surveillance equipment used within the Security Department both locally and in the field during regular business hours

  • Assists with the delivery of security system training as it relates to the Security Service Center

  • Performs notifications to key personnel (Facilities, Security, Human Resources, etc.)

  • Maintains telephone communications with client site; receives calls from Security Officers on an established basis to acknowledge their presence and to report that facilities are secure; maintains logs of incoming calls. Performs emergency telephone support and response. Receives and directs in-coming internal and external telephone calls

  • Interfaces with client personnel on related security matters

  • Documents reported issues and alarm activity, analyzes equipment failures, initiates corrective action, and ensures proper resolution

  • May be asked to perform routine security officer duties and responsibilities (tours and patrols, access control, property control, etc.)

  • Responsible for addendums and follow-up action for all incidents reports. Files incident reports for issues such as communication failure, power outages, malfunctioning security equipment, etc.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form

  • Ability to be an effective team member

  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances

  • Courteous telephone manner

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to learn complex systems

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and identify work priorities

  • Customer service and service delivery orientation

  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
