Eurofins is searching for an Associate Director, Client Services Business Development in Plymouth, MN.

Associate Director, Client Services Business responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

This position represents Eurofins Food Integrity & Innovation (EFII) as either the key contact with current and new clients or through the Project Leaders responsible for a client's experience. The Associate Director is expected to win business and cultivate client relationships by fostering best in class service.

The specific accountabilities assigned to this position are numerous and varied with six areas of particular focus:

  • Manage and develop client service direct reports so to consistently deliver high quality consumer research efficiently and to the ease & delight of our clients:

    • Consult, design and sell customized consumer research solutions tailored to the clients' unique needs and business constraints, utilizing existing tools and capabilities.

      • Collaborate with other business units, such as objective sensory, product and process development, pilot plant, and Global consumer and sensory research to deliver integrated research and development solutions.

    • Provide cross-functional operation teams with the design specifications necessary for efficient development of quality test materials and error-free implementation.

    • Delight clients through clear, insightful reports and actionable recommendations.

  • Deliver financial goals, revenue and profit through sound sales and client management practices:

    • Manage the opportunity pipeline and research proposal so to maintain and grow project win rate while balancing EFII's and the client's financial requirements.

    • Monitor project scope changes and ensure appropriate actions are taken as early as possible to deliver projects on-budget.

    • Share accountability for client out-reach, negotiations, and on-boarding of new clients.

  • Manage and contribute to projects directly, maintaining a minimum of 50% billability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional department heads to continuously improve and innovate standard operating procedures so to expand project profitability, client satisfaction and to protect/enhance our competitive point of difference in the market.

  • Deepen client loyalty and build sales of consumer research services through strategic account reviews, unmet need identification, and tailored service approaches.

    • Lead annual and quarterly sales planning processes for top accounts. This includes review of account performance on key metrics and assessment of risks and opportunities.

    • Be proactive in identifying unmet client needs for consumer research and advancing them as potential new research service opportunities for growth, with business rationale.

    • When appropriate, work with client contacts to improve communication and customize collaboration procedures at the project level to resolve systemic inefficiencies and/or address the client's unique requirements.

  • Develop the skills and competencies of direct reports by utilizing EFII's performance management systems for competency definition, goal setting, performance reviews and individual development plans.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in a business, marketing, scientific, business or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Advanced degrees preferred.

7-10 years of experience in a related field, including sensory or marketing research and new product development

5+ years of experience in roles with sales / consulting responsibilities

5+ years of experience managing and developing people

20% travel required

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with additional hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Plymouth, MN are encouraged to apply.
