Set Builder

As a set builder at Bob's, you will work as an integral, yet specialized part of the advertising team. You'll join brainstorms and planning meetings to help keep our studios running on an aggressive timeline, execute the sets for our TV ads, graphics campaigns and more. You'll work with designers and photographers and their creative direction to help develop floor plans, build sets, fill them with beautiful furniture, and help bring our ideas to life. Our goal is to help customers make big buying decisions by showing them our furniture in a realistic, lived-in and well done space, and your part of that goal will be building that space.



At Bob's, all of our advertising is done under one roof, in-house, including: sound booths, fully equipped studios, as well as fabrication. You'll have access to all of these resources, and your imagination is truly the limit to what you can create. Responsibilities



  • Maintain set build and prop inventory

  • Source materials for shoots working with budget

  • Maintain studio supplies…i.e paint, rollers, etc

  • Dismantle & clean after shoots

  • Work with Operations Coordinator on product needed for shoots

  • Work with Director of Creative Services determining build schedule and what studios

  • Determine when additional help is needed




Required Qualifications



  • Background in carpentry and/or interior design

  • 3-5 years' experience working in construction, carpentry and/ or interior redecorating

  • Basic knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery and equipment

  • Knowledge of critical safety protocol when working with these tools, machinery, equipment or heavy materials

  • Knowledge of various building materials and the ability to identify and source the right materials for any given project

  • Industry knowledge including a network of contractors to source builders and materials from

  • Experience managing multiple builds or projects at the same time

  • Experience with tight deadlines and budgets for small and large projects




Preferred Qualifications



  • Background in carpentry and/or interior design

  • Industry knowledge including a network of contractors to source builders and materials from

  • Experience in advertising, photography and/or set construction
