The Opportunity | Program Contracts Manager

With an aspiration to grow into a Program Management position, this role presents the opportunity to be an integral membre of the Program Management Office, working in close relationship wtih Program Managers to formulate, plan and lead the following activities:

  • Subcontract management with external vendors (development/engineering projects)

  • Repair/Warranty contract management pertaining to price agreements, end-of-life communication, contract review, lead time expectations, purchase order funding, invoice issuance and fund collections

  • Develop, prepare and up-keep program specific history/archive that contains program letters, meeting minutes, program agreements, etc

  • Participate in key program meetings, reviews and critical program planning meetings by capturing business strategy and collaborating with Program Manager

  • Provide Statement of Work (SOW) management/oversight in collaboration with Program Manager to ensure appropriate strategy is planned and contractual scope is managed on the project

Your Challenge

  • Be comfortable and effective managing multiple priorities, task switching and working with diverse group of Program Managers

  • Effectively manage development subcontracts to be on-time and on-budget with contractual oversight to ensure end deliverable product meets specifications

  • Lead and negotiate all aspects of Repair/Warranty contract management

  • Be knowledgeable and aware of all scope changes/potential changes across multiple development contracts -- excellent knowledge of proposed scope and present project Statement of Work (SOW)

  • Be organized with program contracts related communications, plans, strategies.

  • Effective at time management, be available and engaged at required program meetings with contractual strategy perspective and recommended action

  • Be able to facilitate a scope negotiation event and lead appropriate discussions

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

  • Engineering/Technical/Project Management education/experience is a strong plus

  • Negotiation/Lead Mediator experience is highly preferred

  • 7-10 years' relevant experience (Project Management, Subcontracts Management, Program Management, Contract negotiations, contract resolutions/mediation, etc)
