Job Description:

The System Administrator will support the Integrated Research & Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract with work based in the National Capital Region supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The System Administrator will provide Tier I/Tier II level support to Agency Executives and general customers located at Headquarters, US Missile Defense Agency on Fort Belvoir, Virginia as well as three smaller sites throughout the National Capital Region (NCR). Duties include delivering end-to-end support in accordance with IT service level agreements and ensuring all incidents are analyzed, resolved, and reported back within the promised timeframes. Must be highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail; have creative problem-solving abilities; ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; work with minimal oversight; enjoy working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Will support, as part of a team, 45 Agency Executives and 570 other customers located across multiple sites in the NCR as well as offsite. During low activity points, the System Administrator must contribute to remote work and resolution with their teammates at other work sites. Position includes software troubleshooting, assisting with minor project work such as writing white papers, executing manual desktop installations, researching problems and proactively conducting maintenance for customers as well as contributing to enterprise projects. Must be able to support any of 3-4 locations in the NCR with reasonable notice. Candidate must possess an Active Secret clearance.

Basic Requirements:A High School diploma (or GED) with 8 years of general experience and/or an Associate's degree with 6 years general experience and/or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years general experience; must include 4 years of related experience in customer support, business systems, operating systems, and servers and/or experience in light programming, project management of small initiatives, and troubleshooting AND one relevant industry certification at the associate or professional level. Candidate must have a DoD Secret security clearance. Candidates must have completed and be enrolled in Continuing Education (CE) with a Security+ certification or other IAT level II 8570 compliant certification or above. This position may occasionally be required to work extended and/or non-prime hours. Travel may also be required.

Desired: Experience using Remedy software (Action Request System). Audio Visual, and VOIP Telephone equipment experience beneficial.
