Job Description:
Nationwide - Road Warrior
Job Responsibilities:
CI (Cable Installation) of structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.
Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, ladder racks, etc.).
Install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables.
Dress, route and label cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other work areas.
R&S (Rack and Stack) of network equipment and/or devices in a commercial environment.
Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
Route cable through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors as per project specifications.
Troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.
Must have ability to install, terminate and test low voltage cables & fiber optic cables (to include twisted pair cable, coax, power limited tray cable, standard & solid conductor low voltage cable, single mode & multi-mode fiber optic cables).
Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, team members, behavior and appearance.
Submit required paperwork (invoices, expense reports, customer deliverable's, etc.) on time
Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by WHBD, OSHA, CCOHS and any other governing body designated during any phase of any project.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Ability to travel 75r more of the time.
WHBD conducts nationwide projects averaging 2.5 weeks in duration with most projects lasting from 1 week to 4 weeks and less than 10f projects lasting longer.
Candidate MUST have (CI) skills and experience as per definitions above.
2 years of low voltage installation experience in commercial cabling.
Ability to listen carefully to follow instructions
High attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to work days, night, and weekends as project requires
Self-motivated and excellent work ethic
Team Player
Possess cabling hand tools (tool pouch, snips, screwdrivers, punch-down tool, crimper, etc.)
Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and to provide two professional references.
Reliable transportation and valid driver license.
Compensation
Hourly wage dependent on skills and experience.
Bi-Weekly pay – direct deposit
