Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Principal Digital Media Forensics - Cyber Security Forensics Examiner, in the Fort Meade, MD area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The IMS Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customer's success is driving our growth.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform all phases of the forensic examination of digital media, including on-site and off-site evidence acquisition/seizures, forensic analysis, and reporting, ensuring chain of custody is maintained and that applicable rules of evidence are adhered to.

  • Leads efforts for performing post-mortem analysis of the magnetic media, optical media, and volatile data (memory images) collected from compromised systems. Provides testimony related to forensic/malware examinations. Reverse engineers malware, using Dynamic and Static analysis.

  • Support CND tool custom signature and correlation rules creation to enhance enterprise protections based on indicators discovered during the forensics analysis process.

  • Identifies trends in incidents and malware and recommends enterprise protection measures based on incident trends. Researches new attacks and exploits.

  • Writes and publishes cyber incident forensic/malware reports detailing findings and mitigation/remediation recommendations. Develops and documents malware and forensic analysis guidance, processes, and procedures.

  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

  • Provides solutions to a variety of complex technical problems.

  • Plans and conducts assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project.

Position requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related experience. Minimum of three years experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.

  • Continued employment is contingent on the successful completion of DOD certified digital forensic examiners courses. (Requires INCH, CIRC and WFE from DCITA)

  • CISSP AND CCNA or CEH or EC-Conuncil Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)

Security Requirements:

An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required

Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related experience. Minimum of three years experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.
