Job Description:
Job Duties
-Under the supervision of experienced roofers, the Roofer Helper will:
-Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.
-Assist with the set-up and dismantling of ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers.
-Move roofing materials such as shingles, membranes, insulation, and flashing into position.
-Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for installation.
-Assist roofers in installing, repairing, and replacing roofing systems including shingles, shakes, metal panels, and other roofing components.
-Clean work areas, remove debris, and maintain a safe and organized job site.
-Operate basic hand and power tools under direction.
-Follow company safety protocols and provincial OH&S regulations at all times.
-Perform other labouring duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Job Requirements
Education: No formal education required.
Experience: 1 year experience as a labourer or in roofing construction is preferred. Some on-the-job training will be provided depending on the candidate.
Work Conditions: Must be comfortable working at heights, on roofs, in varying weather conditions, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Other Requirements: Reliability, punctuality, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn.
